Alicia H. Saunders, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and grace. Born on October 24, 1934, in Bluefields, Nicaragua, Alicia was the cherished daughter of Albert Halley and Lydia Anderson.
Alicia pursued a life of service and care, beginning with her early education in Bluefields. Her passion for helping others led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, a field in which she devoted herself wholeheartedly. She built a meaningful and impactful career as a nurse, known by her patients and colleagues alike for her gentle spirit, unwavering dedication, and radiant presence.
Alicia married the love of her life, Clarence W. Saunders, and together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and enduring love. She was a proud and nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and the heart of her home. Whether tending to others in their time of need or simply lighting up a room with her signature style and warm smile, Alicia carried herself with grace and glamour throughout her life.
