Theodore Robert Lumley

After completing High School, Ted went on to join the United States Air Force and served his country for over 20 years as an Air Frame Mechanic. After retiring from the Air Force as a Tech Sargent, Ted continued using his skills with Falcon Jet until retiring a second time.

Ted was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Runyan First Baptist Church.

A dedicated family man, Ted loved spending time with his wife, Mildred and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved spending weekends at the lake, hunting and fishing. Ted always looked forward to Christmas time and deer season.

Ted is preceded in death by his father, Theodore A. Lumley; mother, Ruth Mae Lumley and his brother, Paul T. Lumley. Left to celebrate his memory is his beloved wife of 59 years, Mildred Lumley; his daughters Robin Harcrow, Dee Dee Smith and Michelle Cross (V.T. Cross); his brother, Walter Lumley (Kathleen Lumley); 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 4 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives were touched by his caring and generous spirit.

A private service will be held at a later date including the rendering of honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
