Ricky Keith Green, 60, of Sherwood passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Ricky was born on May 18, 1961 in Little Rock; the son of James and Barbra Gail (Chapman) Green. Rick and his brothers Steve and Tim worked side by side in a second generation family owned business, Green and Chapman Inc.; and was currently serving as their General Manager. He was a graduate of NLR Northeast High School class of 1979, where he met his high school sweetheart, Ila Harper, whom he married on June 27, 1981. Rick was a member of Central Baptist Church of North Little Rock, where he loved working with the missions programs, and he participated in many trips to Ecuador.
Rick spent much of his time when he was younger participating in Rodeos; which led him to being 1985 Arkansas ACA State Champion in the bareback riding event. You would find Rick on many occasions coaching his son in baseball or his daughter in softball. He loved to fish and hunt and often times went to antique car shows with his brother-in-law Bobby. He spent many hours relaxing and boating with family and friends on Greers Ferry Lake; which was his favorite place to be. He always planned time to go to Mountain View to listen to folk music and an ice cream with family and friends. His dogs Lily, Bucky and Rudy could be seen with him often for an afternoon ride with him encouraging them to harass all other dogs.
Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Ila Green of Sherwood; son Casey Green and his wife Rachel of Sherwood; daughter Erin Dick and her husband Tyler of Maumelle, grandsons Austin Dick and Maverick Green, and soon to come granddaughter Kinley Dick, and well as countless family, friends. and co-workers. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother Patrick Duane Green.
Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church, 5200 Fairway Avenue, North Little Rock AR 72116 on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 form 6:00 -8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the church beginning at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock.
