Michael Gordon Grayson of North Little Rock passed away peacefully with his son by his side on July 22, 2019. Michael was born October 27, 1950, to Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Faye) Grayson, who preceded him in death. Also, predeceasing are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Grayson of Corning, and Mr. and Mrs. Hartwell Almond of Brinkley, and sister, Karen Grayson.
Mike graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1969. He was an Eagle Scout who didn’t like camping, but could repair and install everything from the cars in the garage to the appliances in the home. In 1974, Mike graduated from Hendrix College. He became a Certified Public Accountant and practiced at Engstrom, Grayson, Green, and Patterson until retirement.
Mike loved to volunteer and serve his community. One of his favorites was the North Little Rock Riverside Rotary Club. He served as President and was named a Paul Harris Fellow. Mike loved all things North Little Rock and was a founding member of the Argenta City Men’s Club and the Wildcat Foundation. He was a visionary of the restoration of the Downtown Argenta area and would be so proud of all that has been done in that beautiful area. He was an ardent supporter of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Jim Wetherington Boys and Girls Club.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Julia (Ryan) Hamra (grandchildren Spencer, Madelyn, and Liam) of Little Rock, and son Brian (Lisa) Grayson (grandchild Cooper). Brother, Larry Grayson , and the mother of his children, Carla Grayson,both of North Little Rock/
A private interment service was held by Mike’s family earlier this week.
