Maxine was a devoted member of Christian Assembly in Sherwood, AR, where she faithfully attended services and cherished reading her Bible daily. Her deep love for the Lord was evident to everyone she met. Maxine was also known for her exceptional home cooking and meticulous care of her home. She was always active, often seen tidying even the dining table legs before leaving the house.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonel Dollar and Winnie Shuffield, and four siblings: Lorene Williams, Virginia Lazenby, Linda Fuchs, and DN Dollar.
Maxine is survived by her loving children, Judy (Harrell) May and Keith (Tanya) Sorrells; grandchildren Wes May and Taylor May (Shannon) Steele; great-grandchild Avery Steele; and sister, Bobbie Parks.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR, 72117. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Hugh Yarbrough. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
