Marvin served in the Korean War. He wasn’t finished seeing the world when he got out of the service Went to work for Central Airlines in Joplin, MO and eventually make it to Little Rock and worked as station manager of Frontier Airlines. He ended his career working with SATO on the Little Rock Air Force Base. He was a 50 year plus resident of North Little Rock.
Marvin enjoyed hunting in Kansas and Oklahoma with his brothers Dwight and Glenn. He loved to fish on Greer’s Ferry Lake and the Little Red and White Rivers. Then bring the fish back for a fish fry that everyone really enjoyed.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and wife Lucille.
Survivors include his daughter Sheryl Conn of Humble, TX, son and daughter in law Douglass and Gloria Walden of Montgomery, TX; grandchildren Rhonda Walden, Eric Walden, Justin Wiesner, Terry Miller and Andrea Miller; four great- grandchildren Amanda Taylor, Tyler Walden, Christian Visser and Jacob Laird and one great great-grandchild Christopher De Los Santos.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
