Jimmy R. “Jim” Goss “…Broke the surly bonds of earth, and touched the face of God…” I was born in Little Rock March 21, 1947. I died peacefully on August 13, 2016. Between these two dates of destiny, I lived a good, full life. My mom and dad always said I was a good boy; I tried to be. They made growing up such a joy. After completing school, I embarked on a 30 year military career to include the U.S. Army (Vietnam), ARNG (Desert Storm) and the Arkansas Military Dept. intermingled with the MOPAC RR and VA Medical Center. Lot of stories and memories there. Born here and retired here, North Little Rock and Sherwood were my home and First Christian Church my church home. I am leaving behind the most wonderful friend I could have ever found. Nora Ann was the icing on the cake for the life we had together. I could not have been happier or loved her more. On the paternal level, I always tried to do my best with Kimberly and David, Callan, Grace, and Isabella. I love them so very much and am proud of them and proud to have been part of their lives. I was preceded in death by my father, Floyd Goss, mother, Evelyn Goss and brother, Donald Goss. To all the dear friends I had the pleasure of knowing and to all my extended family, please celebrate my life with loved ones knowing we will all be together again. Interment will be at a private burial service at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, presided by Rev. Jason Ferguson with a celebration of my life to be held in the Chalice Hall building of First Christian Church at Friday, August 19, at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be served. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Christian Church Building Fund Ministry 2803 E. Kiehl Ave. Sherwood, AR 72120
