George was born to George E., Sr. and Nettie Herrin Morgan on November 7, 1943, in Temple, Texas, but lived most of his life in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
George was a machinist by trade and retired from Westinghouse/Philips Lighting Company in 1998, then worked for L’Oréal Maybelline until his retirement in 2008. He spent the first few years of retirement working for Gwatney Chevrolet in Jacksonville, Arkansas, as a courtesy van driver. He loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and working in the yard.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five (25) years, June Morgan; two sons, John (Jennifer) Morgan, Russell Morgan and partner, Shannon; one daughter; Karen Morgan, and a bonus son, David (Maria) Vasquez; nine grandchildren including two bonus granddaughters, 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Tatum; and a brother Hoyt Morgan.George is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Morgan, and a bonus daughter, Jennifer Bryant.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and aides of Arkansas Hospice Searcy for their excellent care and compassion during George’s illness, as well as special caregiver Joseph from In Home SeniorKare, and those from Visiting Angels and Superior Senior Care of Cabot.
