MSgt. Frank A. Gunn, USAF Ret. passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2016. A resident of North Little Rock for many years, Frank was born in Sanford Florida on January 8, 1951 to parents Dock Gunn, Sr. and Ruby Lee Morris Gunn. He graduated from Crooms High School and furthered his education at Abilene Christian College and Texas A & M Air University. Frank entered the United States Air Force on July 20, 1971, serving his country for 24 years as an Electrical Superintendent with Civil Engineering until his retirement on June 30, 1995. During his years of service he attended the USAF Senior NCO Academy, NCO Academy and the NCO Leadership School. He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and National Defense Service Medal along with many other decorations and citations. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, Dessert Storm and the Gulf War. Frank was a Baptist and member of the St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church in North Little Rock for many years. He and Rose were blessed to be married to each other for 35 wonderful years. After knowing Frank for only 3 weeks, Rose knew that God had put them together. God further blessed them with wonderful children and allowed both of them to see their children grow up and accomplish their dreams. Frank loved to eat, particularly seafood gumbo, Chinese food, sushi and kimchee. He also loved shooting his gun, watching old western and horror movies and cartoons. More than anything else he loved to do these things while in the company of his family. Spending time with Rose and his children was what he enjoyed more than anything else.
