Ofelia Prusnofsky, known as Ofe to all, was born on September 23, 1944, and unexpectedly left us far too soon on March 26, 2016. Ofe is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Martin (Marty), her two sons, Jeff and his wife Elysa and Robert (Roby) and his wife Cherie, and the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren, Joseph (Joey), Michael (Mikey), Allison and Landon, and her late grandson, Brendan, all whom she cherished.
Ofe was born in Havana, Cuba. She was the youngest daughter of Morris and Rachel Fellner, who fled Poland before the War.
Ofe also is survived by her two sisters, Rose and Claire, and many other close family members.
Although Ofe was entirely devoted to her family, she also was a dear and close friend to many, some newly-made, others lasting a lifetime. Making friends came very easy to Ofe. Of all her many friends, she was as committed and a devoted a friend to Joan as is humanly possible, as was Joan to Ofe. In fact, it is more accurate to say that Joan is part of the family. Ofe treasured her friends and friendships, as is evident from the outpouring of love and sorrow for her loss that her family has received.
Ofe was charismatic, energetic and full of life, to her very last day. She loved to dance and always was the life of the party. She had a very successful business career, but always placed family first. She proudly referred to herself as a "Juban", and always emphasized her Judaism and her fond memories as a young girl in Havana; Ofe's immediate family will forever miss her and cherish the time they had with one of G-d's treasures in this world. May her memory be a blessing.
