Israel is survived by his loving spouse of 64 years Pauline ‘Pearl’ nee Baizer. Izzy and Pearl have 3 wonderful children: Daughter Lynne Podrat (Bruce), grandchildren Jerica, Randy Torban (Laurie) great –grand-children, Maddie and Emily. Son, David (Lisa) grand-daughters Arielle Joyce and Robyn and son Bruce.
Israel had many interests and affiliations ranging from his military services with the US Army 82 Airborne Division, to the Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Brotherhood of the Free Mason’s.
Funeral service will be held at 1:45pm Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Star of David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery, 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Rabbi Paul Plotkin of Temple Beth AM, Coral Springs will be officiating.
