Ira Schulman, 81, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 16, 2023. Ira was a devoted husband, father, friend and grandfather, or Poppy, as he was called.
Ira was born on July 3, 1942 to Murray and Bertha Schulman in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Oceanside High School, Ira attended Brooklyn College of Pharmacy where he earned his degree in Pharmacy. Pharmacy was a career that fulfilled him for all of his life.
While attending college, Ira met the love of his life, Anita. They married in 1966, just three days before Ira left to serve in the Air Force in Vietnam for the next year. Upon his return, they had two children, Nanci and Eric and resided in New York before moving to sunny South Florida.
Ira had a love of sports, especially baseball and football. Even though he grew up in New York, he was a life-long Miami Dolphins fan. A perk of Ira living in South Florida was being able to attend the games with those he loved.
Ira is survived by his wife, Anita, his children, Nanci and Eric (Clover) and his three grandchildren, Mandi, Mitchell and Samuel.
