I am Jecirry Fatagani, but fondly called by the Benolirao family as “Inday”.  I was Myles’ nanny or “yaya” (Tagalog for nanny)since he was just 1 1/2 years old.  I have worked with the family for almost 11 years and Myles was about 12 years old, until they went back to the states.
Since I practically lived with them, I was included in all their trips out of town, we went to the movies, stroll at the malls, we would often eat out as well. 
I was treated not just like a household help, but more as part of the family. Ate Amy entrusted Myles in my care because she knows that my love for her son is unconditional. 
I had wonderful memories with Myles. I remember him always telling me, “My Inday!, I love my Inday!” And his mom, Amy would jokingly pretend that she was jealous of me.
Myles was sometimes mischievous as a kid but growing up, he is such a sweet kid and very thoughtful even as a young boy. I remember every time we would ride the family van, he would always check everyone if their doors were locked, if they have their seatbelts on, make sure that the windows are closed and such simple reminders to make everybody safe. That was Myles. Always thinking about others before himself, even at a very young age.
Just earlier this year, I called Ate Amy because I needed financial help for my son’s college tuition and Myles, without any further questions, told his Mom to send money as soon as possible and get the funds from his savings. I am so touched with this gesture of kindness towards me. 
Now, when I heard the very sad news, I broke down in tears because my dear Myles is gone. 
Wherever you are Myles, my heart goes with you until we see each other again. Always remember that your Inday loves you so much!❤️

You were always open to welcome any one and accepted their flaws . Always tried to help someone be better . Never wanted anyone to feel excluded or left out. Always a gentleman and a jokester. The Laughs we share I will always cherish.  I’m sorry once we went our separate ways I wasn’t a better friend.  I remember seeing you at the grocery store and we talked as if we had jst hung out the day before.  You changed a lot of ppls hearts for the better. Keep an eye on all of us up there . Thank you for being part of my life . 

Myles, I won't forget your passion to worship God when you joined our family Bible study.  

You saw us doing karaoke worship on TV, and that's when you stepped in with a guitar to sing our praises to God. 

That was 10 years ago, but it only feels like yesterday.  

You knew the Lord, and accepted Him at the salvation army.  You walked with Christ the best way you knew how while carrying a heavy cross.  No one knew how heavy that cross was because you smiled it off and didn't really bother people with the struggles you had. 

And now we're here.  And you're over there.  I just thought you'd be here longer, that's all.  

Well, God always likes to take the best flowers.  He probably was impressed with how you grew through this concrete world, that He made a decision to take you home.   

So rest easy and enjoy what God had waiting for you.  I'll see you there.

Myles was a good friend to many. He could entertain people for hours with his stories and jokes. Those who knew Myles will remember him for his humility, kindness, simplicity and eternal smile.  

Myles, You will always be remembered no matter what. Your presence, love, and kindness will forever be with us. Rest in paradise with eternal love.

Ate Amy our deepest sympathy to you, you Will always be in our prayers in this time of sorrow. Be strong po, May our God always comfort you po. May he rest in peace. He is forever in our hearts.

Although we have met Myles just about  9 years ago, we feel that we have known him  for decades. Im sure everyone of us share the same first impression with him - as a happy and very welcoming character.  He has a very uplifting personality just like his mom, Amy, whom we have been friends  with for a long time . Myles always talk in a low sweet voice to his mom, thats why we decribed him as a gentle giant. We saw how loving son he was to Amy, and very affectionate with full of sweet words and kind gestures. Myles never failed to say hi to us with a very warm smile whenever we visit their home. He joins us during parties,  group pictures and even simply just sitting at the porch catching up on a small talk. We definitely will miss those interactions with him. Though he is gone too soon, his memories will live on through his family and friends. We will miss you Myles, and we’ll always remember your warm and kind smile.  May you rest in peace with God.

When I first came to California, you were just a sleepy person who hardly came out of your room. We didn’t have many chances to talk but that was a given since I barely make small talk anyway. However, out of the few conversations we had, we talked about being in the customer service industry and having to serve cranky, entitled customers. Along the line, you mentioned about hating the job but being good at it anyway. It was this conversation that rang a bell where I should focus on a job that I am good at rather than some dream job. Since then, I was grateful for that little spark you gave me. Over the time we had together, you became like family to me as I was surprised over how forgetful you are and I would tease you about it. You left us too soon and we will forever miss you. 

TO MY SON MYLES,

Borrowing this photo from Ate Judy. This picture was taken at Ate Amy's vacation villa in Pansol, Laguna. My mom was the caretaker at that time who was seated next to me (2nd from the left). This was the villa's blessings ceremony, and it was my first time to meet Myles. I still remember how cute he was, tirelessly enjoying their swimming pool. The last time I saw him was in Ate Amy's vacation house in Baguio City. We stayed 2 nights in their transient house with my brother and some of my friends. One night, we went out to enjoy Baguio's session road which was famous for tourists nigh life. Myles went out with us even though he was way too young to join our generation that time. All of us were surprised how he easily get along with us, cracked jokes, laughed with us, singed along with us and even  enjoyed the food we ordered. I should say he was extremely sociable, friendly and fun to be with.  Short bonding with Myles but it was a fun and worthwhile memory with him. We will never forget you Myles. Your sweet smile will always be remembered. Rest in peace and until we meet again!


Met Myles after getting off of work one night, and quickly became one of my first friends in my first year living in the Glendale area.  The interests we shared whether it was music, the fact that we were both Filipino, or simply being a few years apart that we understood the simplicity of pre social media days. Not a dull moment spent with this guy. He would always try to pick anyone up who was down. Late nights sharing funny stories about what has happened in our past. He was a brother from another mother, and I’ll never forget the goofy laughs we shared. To a real one, say hello to everyone that has gone before us. Love you bro. And to Tita Amy, may you find peace and love in this difficult time. ❤️

I met Myles through his mom, Amy. We met him when they were moving from Burbank to their new place in Sun Valley. He was a shy and quiet type of person but he was cool to join us in our crazy poses just like in the photos. We had more interactions when he moved in with his mom. Amy and I were on the phone almost everyday talking nonsense actually. 
I will never forget that day when he was on the phone and Amy wanted him to stop so they can talk and spend quality time. He then replied..”eh ikaw nga lagi kang nasa phone with shups”. (Shups is short for shupatid, a gay lingo for kapatid which means sibling) Myles started calling me shups since then. 

Myles, may you rest in the arms of the Lord. We pray that God will give you an everlasting life in his garden and may you rest in eternal peace.

Amy and I have been friends for a long time. We were swimming buddies. We go on vacations together and would hang out with our coach Phil. I migrated in US and Amy and I got reconnected back in San Diego. We both got pregnant and we were blessed to have our first born sons. Unbeknown to us,Amy named him Myles Christian and I Christian Zachary. I was shopping one day and saw Amy.This was the first time I met Myles.He was tall and handsome. At first he was shy, but he gave me a warm, welcoming smile and a bear hug. Behind this exterior of young man hides a loving and caring soul. The kind of man you want to be your best friend and a confidant.
When Amy called me and told me the sad news, I cried and screamed 
There are no words I can express to a grieving mother because a child loss is the most unbearable pain that no parent should have to endure .
You will always be in our hearts.

To Tita Amy, TR and the rest of the family, I’m truly sorry for your loss. I’m heartbroken when I found out about Myles’ passing. He will always remain in our prayers. I know he lived a good life and was a great son and a brother. There were only few moments that I spent time with him and I cherish all those memories.

Myles, thank you for appreciating Carlo. I remember when you used to play with him in his crib when he was still a baby. (Sunvar days).  Also, I thank you for spending time to join us for a small dinner in Las Vegas in 2010.

Amy & I are cousins through her dad Tito Tony. Tony was my dads cousin; 
And since Amy and I are close in age i spent many trips in their Baguio home where Toni Rose & Myles would always hangout and play.

When they moved to he states,  I unfortunately wasn’t able to spend time with Myles; 
So my memories of him were mostly as a young boy.

Baguio life was simple, quiet & very happy times. It was a place of solace to recharge.

Myles was adorable young boy, so cuddle-able. 
His hugs were the warmest and most welcomed in the mountains’ misty cold days. Looking up with eyes of innocence and wonder, he was undeniably very sweet & loveable.
He always listened to his momma and Ate, in fact I never heard him cry or complain. He was a good boy. 

And judging by more recent family photos, nothing changed… still that loving, sweet young man that turned into a big, tall, still extremely huggable teddy bear.

My heart goes out to the family as the young boy I knew, now a young man has gone too soon, suddenly. 

Many what if’s and why’s?
Maraming panghihinayang, lungkot and loss.

Myles will always be remembered as a loving son and sweet boy. 
You are loved and missed.

I will never forget those days when I was doing Bible Studies with him in Tuba, Benguet, Philippines. He asked questions almost after every session that we had. He was so interested about the teachings of God that were taught in the Church. He was excited to be a member of the Church. As soon as he was baptized, he took an office in the Church and became a young overseer for the small kids in the Church. He was good with kids. He was an inspiration to them and his fellow officers. I will never forget his smile and charisma.

I am grateful and lucky to have met you! Thank you for letting me stay with you when I did not had a home. Being room mates gave us the opportunity to become brothers. I won’t forget all the memories that we shared. I miss you, always stay close to our hearts. Rest in paradise. We love you! 

There are Sunvar days, Baguio days, a lot of birthdays and holidays that we celebrated together! This is you, Lester and Ayie and I how I missed those days seeing the 3 of you just playing around. 

The only consolation I have  is that you are now reunited with our two loving grandmas. Maybe Mama Rose misses you. Kiss the two of them for me.  May you Rest in Peace, Myles! It has been 13 years and I hope to see you in my dreams. 

You will always be your Mom’s sweet  baby boy and Toni’s giant baby brother. We are once a family and we will always will be. ❤️

Myles, until now I am still deeply saddened to know that you are not with us anymore.  And I truly feel the pain of you leaving us too soon. May you now Rest in Peace and may you watch over tita Amy and Toni and be their  guardian angel in heaven. You will be missed. 🙏🏻

This photo is a continuation of “Sunvar days”. So many precious memories we had back in the day. My fondest memory w/ you is that when Carlo was still a baby and  I would asked you to watch him for me while I take my break and I would see you happily playing with him.
