Julio was born in North Hollywood, CA on November 9, 1932. He was the oldest son of Dolores and Simon Coronado. Julio Attended North Hollywood High where he met his first wife Julia Savala Beltran and graduated in 1951. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force and served from 1951 to 1953. He was stationed overseas in Guam and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Not too long after this, he started his career with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and happily retired after 33 years.
Julio was preceded in death by both his parents, his younger brother, Michael, and wife Julia Coronado.
Julio enjoyed taking care of the roses in his yard and going to the horse races at Del Mar and Santa Anita with his daughter Marta.
Everyone that knew Julio loved him. He was often described as a kind and loving soul. He was a great dad and loved his girls with all his heart. His grandchildren lovingly called him Papa and Campaw.
Julio is survived by his second wife Gloria Coronado, his children Marta Coronado, Lisa and her Husband Mike Beyea, Daveda and her Husband Robert Beaty, and Devin Geml. Grandchildren; Michelle Thompson, David Callicoat, Julia (Joseph) Dyas, Alexis Young and Zachery Beaty, Michelle (Mike) Lujan, Lori Beyea, and 14 Great Grandchildren.
