Beauty. Strength. Power. Generous. Infinite capacity for love. These words hint at the spirit of Catherine “Kate” Frances Wachter (nee Rumberger) who ascended to Heaven on Monday, April 24th, 2017. Her journey was preceded by her brother James and her mother, Frances (nee Baluta). Kate’s spirit lives on through her family: her father, Dr. William Joseph, her sisters, Hedy and Lisa, her brothers, William Joseph Jr. and Victor, her husband and soulmate of 46 wonderful years, Walter, her four sons: Marc, Matt, Mike, and Walter, seven grandchildren and beloved Weimaraner, Gracie. Kate gave generously of her time and talents to her family and community. Born in Danville, Pennsylvania, she raised her family in New Jersey and recently found North Fort Myers with her husband Walter to provide the beauty and tranquility that fulfilled her heart’s passion. Her smile and laughter lit up a room and was contagious to all. She enjoyed tropical vacations with her large family, being involved with her local community’s social committee, crafts of all kinds, spending time with her husband, sons, and their families. News of her passing resounded through family and friend circles quickly and reverberated back with an outpouring of love and volumes of stories of how Kate’s life touched and improved others. She will be deeply missed. Her life’s passions and spirit will be carried forward and upward by her family for generations to come. If Kate’s time on earth could have been supported by love alone, she would have lived forever. And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand. A Celebration of Kate’s life will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at The Mansion in Voorhees, NJ in the Tiffany Rosecliff Room at 3:30 pm.
