Wilburn Davis

He was born January 19th, 1925 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Robert and Laura Pegram Smith.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy from 1943 to 1945 and was involved in the Invasion of Normandy during World War 2.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Davis, his two daughters, Brenda Sullivan and Patricia Johnston, a brother, Nelson Davis, his grandchildren, Melissa Meador, Christopher Sullivan and David Johnston, step-children Emmanuel, Margarita, Marlyn, Elizaldy, Maria Magdalena, Lutgarda, Miriam, Albert, Lorna and Alvin; great grandchilren, Collin, Cayden, Ansley, Jayda and Paisley and many step- grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Laura Davis, his wife, Mildred Davis, two brothers Jack and "Cracker Jack;" and grandson, Randy Halley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
