Wayne was born on October 8,1946 to Delmer and Clara Pegram in Charleston, West Virginia.
After Wayne graduated from Eastbank High School in 1964, he went on to study business at Morris Harvey College.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Pegram, his children, Jeremy Pegram, Sarabeth Henry and Juanita Eakins and her husband Terry Eakins. His granddaughter Zahara Henry and grandsons Terry Eakins Jr, Isaac Eakins and Adam Eakins. Wayne was the eldest of three children. He leaves both siblings Glancy & Dale Pegram and his wife, Jeannie, and three nieces and nephews.
Wayne loved his family, people, God and his country. He was a loving husband for over 44 years, a licensed minister for over 40 years, he served in the United States Army but most of all he was a Christian. He was a member of City Church of Charleston, pastored by John Pharis. Serving God in his words was the best thing he has ever done & his dying wish is to see all his family, loved ones and anyone he has impacted to meet him one day in heaven to celebrate together. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be dearly missed.
Wayne’s final wishes were to celebrate his life in a private ceremony with his wife, children and grandchildren. A drop in at the family’s home to provide your condolences will be announced at a future date.
