A beloved figure in the community, Steve’s life was one of service and kindness. He was known
for his deep love for God, dedication to his family and his service in the Air Force during the
Vietnam War. Steve was a beacon of light and hope. Steve’s love for his friends and community
was immense and he showed this through his quiet unwavering support. One of his proudest
accomplishments was helping to establish the Home of Hope men’s homeless shelter in

his wife Dee to South Carolina. Before they married, Steve spoke to Dee saying, “I love God
more than I love you, can you live with that?”. His commitment to God and family remained at
the heart of his life. Steve leaves a legacy through his loving wife, Dee, his biological and
spiritual children Christina, Kelly, Stacy, Amelia, Kaitlin, Steve Jr. Ariel, Mario, Chris, Byron
and Caleb. He will reman in our hearts forever!
