Roy H Israel, N. Chas. Roy H. Israel, 87, of N. Chas, SC, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Roy was born on June 13, 1928 on Sullivan’s Island, SC. Roy was preceded in death by his parents Joseph H Israel and Minnie Eugenia Truesdale. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the Naval Shipyard as a Progress man after 38 years. Roy Israel is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Doris Israel; his son Roy (Kelley) Israel, three daughters Debbie (Al) Hendricks, Karen (David) Cox, Stephanie (Jimmy) Allen. Roy is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Mandy (Kevin), Amber (Laszlo), Tina, Crystal (Jeremy), Joseph, Tyler, Heather, Hunter, David (Victoria), Micah, Tabetha, Hailey and Regen; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Carolina Memorial on Tuesday between 3 – 4 PM, with a memorial service following at 4:00 PM.
