She is survived by her son Patrick Wayne, daughters Celeste Marie (Randall Scott Hicks), Michelle Leigh (William Stettner), Loredana Mae Powell, daughter in love Alisa Minkler Brown and many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nina quit middle school in the 8th grade to help her mamma and family make a living. She achieved her GED at 48 years old, attended college to complete her CNA and later to achieve accomplishments in food safety and culinary skills as her sister, Linda, guided her through a career in food service to serve children, which she loved and served throughout most of her life. She retired from Indian River County School District in 2018 at 71 years old.
There will be a celebration of life in her home town of Vero Beach, FL at a future date. In lieu of flowers, Nina wished for donations to be made to a Hospice facility of your choosing.
