Mercedes S Moore

Mercedes S Moore, age 90, of North Charleston, South Carolina passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Mercedes was born on September 24,1932 in Polangui Albay, Philippine to Petronilo Roman and Felisa Saculo Roman.

Mercedes is survived by her daughters Loly Santayana, Cora Seilala, Mercy Burrell (Ben), and Gloria Flesher (Lenny); her grandsons Ronald Opack, and Tristan Flesher; and her granddaughter Nikky Burrell.

Mercedes is preceded in death by her son Greg Santayana Jr; her brothers Antonio Roman, Pepito Roman, Roberto Roman, Solomon Roman, and Roger Roman.

Mercedes was a great cook, also in her free time she loved to cook and sing karaoke. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. She would grow lots of vegetables and flowers. She was a devout member at both Immaculate Conception Church and St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a kind and generous woman. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held for Mercedes on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406. A Catholic Mass service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418 with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Park.
