Buddy served as a veteran of World War II in the 41st Infantry Division in the Pacific. He and Betty were saved and born again in 1952. In 1973, Buddy and Betty opened, for all people, the
Gospel Mission Church at the corner of Meeting and Melbourne Street in North Charleston.
Buddy is survived by six children and their family: Allan Kincaid of Columbia, SC; Susan Kincaid of North Charleston, SC; Steven Kincaid (Janet) of North Charleston, SC; Karen Hughes (Michael) of Conway, SC; Sharon Stalvey (Kirk) of Conway, SC; David Kincaid (Maybelle) of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren: Rachel Godwin (Aaron) of North Charleston, SC; Faith Squires (Derrik) of Conway, SC; Rebecca Cooper (Casey) of Columbia, SC; step grandchildren: Laura Ashley Stalvey of Conway, SC; Ronnie and Karen Gaskins of Summerville, SC; David Gunter of Summerville, SC; great grandchildren: Ella Godwin of North Charleston, SC; Eliza Squires of Conway, SC; Banks Cooper of Columbia, SC; great grand stepchildren: Cayden and Caitlynn Rogers of Conway, SC; Joshua and Matthew Gaskins of Summerville, SC; Myranda Savelle and Brieanna Beiring of Summerville, SC; and his extended Church Family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 24th, 2019 at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Mausoleum.
