KC was truly rare. He was the same Kind heart I met in 4th grade in Mrs. Karstens class, all the way into adulthood. KC, was my friend. My favorite memory, was when you he took my homework in Mrs. Scott's class and put his name on it ha. It was hilarious, because his grades were better than mine by a mile! I can genuinely say I loved him. At 10, he didn't care I was the new black kid, in class. I was his friend and at 18, and 20 and so on, he treated me the same way every time. As young adults, the way he got super excited to see you, man. Would tell me the same joke I told him in 4th grade.  If I could say one more thing to him, it would be " Hey, white boy, I'm sure you didn't know this, but you were one of a kind, baby."

Kevin, I cannot begin to tell you how much of  our day at  work will be so sad not seeing you there anymore. I know you were not in our family very long but the laughter, love and  smiles you brought in with you will last a lifetime. Sleep in peace our dear friend until we meet again. 

I just wanted to give my condolences from myself and my family as I was unable to get the words out on Friday. We are all praying for strength for your friends and family.

I have never stopped thinking and caring for KC the past 10 years. It’s hard not to. Look at that smile. He was so beautiful.

I am truly heartbroken for y’all’s loss and as a mother myself I can’t even imagine the pain you’re feeling.

One of my favorite things as a kid was spending the night at your house, the trampoline, the video games, the hide and seek, the scary bedtime stories, swimming at the pool, the boating trips with our families, more fun all those years than I can remember, us growing up together. You were an intelligent, athletic, good looking young man from a great family, but you were so much more than that, you could have become and accomplished anything. It was a privilege being your family and having some of the best times of my childhood with you by my side. I consider myself lucky to have known you and been a part of you and your family’s lives. We got older and drifted apart as most people sadly do, something I’ll always regret, but you and your family will Always hold a special place in my heart and memories. Love you, cousin. 

I am praying for y’all. KC was such an old soul. He was so kind and caring.  Too many good times to type. But this day was particularly fun. He was so goofy. Rest In Peace sweet boy. 

KC's smile was infectious and he cared so deeply about his friends and family. I am so lucky to be able to call KC a friend and so blessed to have grown up with him as a neighbor for so many years. My heart goes out to Kevin, Connie and Reid and his whole family. We love you all! I remember spending summers in my dad's pool with KC and all our friends, playing in the huge rain puddles that would emerge during a rain storm in front of our houses. I even remember the day Roxie came home and how much trouble yall had coming up with a name for her. We would talk to each other from our bedroom windows, just like in the movies. I couldn't imagine my childhood without KC. KC will be missed so much, but I am lucky to have these memories to hold on to. 

I cannot find the word to express the sorrow I feel for you and your loving family. 
As kids growing up in the neighborhood, you and Devon were always together. Two peas in a pod.  You would have followed each other anywhere.  His “ride or die.”
Such a polite young man. Your parents did an outstanding job with you.  They gave you all the love they had. You could not have  asked for better parents.  They wanted you to have it all. 
Your family and friends loved you more than you could have ever imagined. 
We will all miss your beautiful smile and your place in this crazy world. 
We love you and will always be here for your family. Rest easy sweet boy.
