Predeceased by his wife Sarah JoAnn Brown and twin sister Gay, he
is succeeded by many, including his two daughters Donna
McConnell and Sandra Getter, four grandchildren who knew him as
Papa, as well as six great-grandchildren who all had the pleasure of
having known him.
While having served in the Navy, Jay was also wholly dedicated to
serving his family, especially his wife Sarah JoAnn Brown, who sadly
passed on January 23, 2021.
Services celebrating his life will be held Saturday, November 23,
2024, at Carolina Funeral Home & Gardens, at 1 p.m. Committal Prayers
and burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
