Alan was married to my Grand Daughter Adrian , He was ready to help my family anyway he could . After my husband passing he said grand mom any thing you need let me know and I'll be there . I mean anything , this was the kind  of person he was and will be remember by. Love you Alan and will miss your smile

Alan, the baby... I know you are near an dear to my heart and always have and will be. I know through time we all went down our separate roads and life took us us all our separate ways . But we were always, always family. All my prayers and deepest condolences to your whole family. Pam, Laura, Tina, Bobby, and Adrian. My heart is aching with yours. Alan, I didn't know you very well. I met you through Mike. But, the one crazy memory I have of you is...I was sitting at the red light at 52 and Redbank rd. I hear a horn blowing and blowing...I hear someone yelling and again a horn blowing. I thought to myself, who in the world is that crazy person?? After a minute or two, you pull up next to me, blowing and yelling...lol, by this time I am locking my doors, I finally turned and looked in your direction. There you were waving like a mad man, I laughed but with relief knowing it was you and not a crazy man.  I will keep your family in my prayers. Your wife, your kids, siblings, your parents. And friends. May all of them know the peace only Jesus can give.

Alan Burnett's  family,,, I knew Alan along time ago,, and was touched by him,,,,and after reading all the other posting,, I understand why he was in influence to  so many! It was his BIG HEART of to love and to help others,,,, for as he had less, he wanted al others to have more!  I will miss him, but I will cherish that memory of the one summer,  I got to spend with him and his cousins! Respectfully to all of you, and even to Heaven, send my love  to this "little boy", grown in statue, but loving to all as an infant, with total love!  John Hicks


Our eldest son, Josh, always had a tendency to bring people home with him. Most of the time complete strangers. Most of the time someone who needed a home away from home. Josh always had a big heart and has never known a stranger. Alan was his equal in that way. 
His heart was as big as Texas. He had an uncanny ability to bring you back to sanity after a stressful day with just a smile and a , usually corny, joke. He was one of the first to be found by us and he quickly became part of our family. Alan was always a bright spot in our lives and, though you have to let go for the child to become a man, I have never doubted the profound impact he has had on our lives. And the profound number of people his life has made better just by being himself. 
You will always be missed, sweet Alan. We have been blessed to have had you in our lives for such a short time.

Alan you have been in our family for a long time I remember when we had a little fight but you became or family to my niece words is hard for me to say I don't it breaks my heart to know your gone we might not saw eye to eye but you where my family your will be so deeply miss our family' . I can't believe you are gone and not here with us anymore.  But I know you are watching over us from us in heaven.  I love you and miss you for always . You are a amazing husband and father to my sister and a amazing brother in law to us 

Alan, I am having trouble finding words. I can't believe it's been almost 25 years ago  we met at ol' Goose Creek High. You were always one of the most genuine people I had ever met.  I know as life went on after school we all went our ways. But when we would see each other, it was like no time passed. In 2014, my mom died, you were there for me after all those years. I remember how tight you embraced me as I cried, it was a true friends shoulder to cry on. I know that you are with our creator now, and I know that He said there is no more pain, or suffering or death in His kingdom. While the world lost a great man, I pray that your family is able to find peace in knowing that you're with Christ in the kingdom. 
We are brothers in maintenance, taking the muti-family industry by storm. Keeping the low country cool one split system at a time

So many memories, we grew up together.  I can't believe you're gone and I'm so so sorry to Pam, Adrian, the kids, everyone.  My heart is broken dude, say hi to everyone we've lost over the years for me. I'll see you on the other side.

As I look my Max length is 2000 and I could use everyone of them..  memory no memories so many like when you worn a dress to the hostipal when my mom got surgery to make us laugh so we wouldn't realized it sucked or when I got my first trailor you like a true big brother and friend came and fixed my toilet or the countless times you supported me and comforted me when I called you crying..  or the time when we where younger and you gave me the nickname idget.   Alan my heart breaks  you were an friend  the best friend the kind of friend that is loyal, kind, caring I think God for allowing me to know you...  I honesty have tons of more memories which I hope we can discuss when we meet again.. I'm praying for your family  may God sent angels to comfort their hearts. . Al dog I hope you are at peace I miss you more then you know... I will never forget how you changed my life you truly are a one of a kind.. always know I remember our last conversation you said bridge family is it love is pure we never know how long we have we were discussing my dad and death  I love you   my dear friend I miss you I can't wait to see you again...  Thank you for the memories 

Dude, I couldn't believe it when I heard the news.  I know we didn't hang out or keep in touch often, I still consider you a good friend.  I remember back in the 5th grade when we were in the newspaper club together and just about every time we met up since then.  Your loss is a big hit to our community, you were a friend to everyone in the Creek.  We'll all miss you brother.

Alan, I'm really going to miss you dude. You were very inspirational to me at a very tough time in my life and I will never forget it. I have been and will continue to pray for your family to find peace in this tough time. I'll never forget the laughs we shared way back in GC Rec summer camp, all the way to the recent years in those special rooms. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Man you’re we’re hilarious but we shared the love for our own family and they always came first !!! You could wake up out of a dead sleep if bacon was cooking lol and yes for a bigger guy , you sure had some wheels . In all seriousness you had a heart of gold and were a nice genuine dude who didn’t care what anyone thought you just wanted to help people and have fun. RIP brother 

You were a great coworker and an even better friend. I remember when we moved you were the ONLY person who came to help. You even called out sick that day (leaving me with no maintenance lol) and helped Danny load the truck. 

At work, we would joke around a lot. "Cursing" each other not with bodily harm, but discomfort. "May you be cursed with a wedgie you have to wait a while to dig out because you're in public!" and things like that. 

You had one of the biggest hearts I've ever known. 

I wish we had kept in touch better. I will miss you, man.
