John could be a bit of a handful, but deep down he had a good heart. He missed his longtime partner Candy immensely. He enjoyed his grandsons, friends, food, fishing, hunting and playing pool. He was a master with a steak and a bbq.
He was “Dad” to many neighborhood kids over the years, and to his beloved Pomeranians. He is survived by daughter Heidi (Kent), Jacki (North Bend), sister Shirley (Mississippi), nephew Chuck (Mississippi), brother Henry (Mississippi), 4 grandsons, and more friends and family in Missouri.
I would like to thank everyone for your involvement in his life. Whether it was giving him a ride to town, helping him around his house, inviting him to dinner, being his friend or just stopping in to check on him and say hi – thank you so much. I would also like to include a very special thank you to Tom and Venice Willis, for going above and beyond for many years for my dad (and my mom).
A service will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery in June. If you would like to be notified of the exact date and time when they become available, please email his daughter at [email protected] with John in the subject line.
