Lifetime Oklahoma resident, Thelma Roberta Tyler, some called her Berta, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2024. She was born July 14, 1936 in Norman, Oklahoma to Luther Clarence Rollins and Anna Pearl (Wright) Rollins.
Roberta graduated from Norman High School in 1954. Roberta went on to be an Administrative Assistant for the Cleveland County Youth and Family Services.
In her free time, Roberta loved listening to Gospel and Country Music, singing together with her husband Eddie, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren on a beautiful sunny day. She was always laughing and cutting up with people and had one heck of a sense of humor. Roberta always taught others to put God and family first, and that a mother’s love will always be unconditional. Roberta loved her family, she even spent many years as a single mother and raised two boys on her own.
Roberta was married to her first husband Marvin Clifton Williamson, which resulted in their two sons Ronny and Donny, whom she loved dearly. Roberta married again to the love of her life Edward Thomas Tyler and spent every day with him until his passing in 2019.
Roberta is preceded in death by her husband Edward Thomas Tyler, parents Luther Clarence Rollins and Anna Pearl (Wright) Rollins, brothers Chester Rollins (Fern), John Rollins, Dalton Rollins (Phyllis), Kenneth Rollins (Earlene), and Richard Rollins, and sisters Marie Berglan (Paul), Alma Davis (JD), Dixie Sparks (Edgar), Jean Wampler (Connie), Etta Jane Lack (Bill), and Edna May Rollins.
Those left to cherish Roberta’s memory are her sons Ronny Williamson (Beth) of Washington, Oklahoma and Donny Williamson (Melissa) of Owasso, Oklahoma; stepdaughters April Tyler of Goldsby, Oklahoma, Barbara Nwigwe of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Debbie Tyler of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren Chad Williamson, Blake Williamson, Jaxon Williamson, Jaret Williamson, Jenna Williamson, Madelynne Deisering; multiple great grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Green Country Care Center for taking such wonderful care of Roberta over the last few years. Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13th from 4-8 at Primrose Funeral Service in Norman, Oklahoma. A funeral Service will be held Friday June 14th at Goodrich United Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma at 2pm with interment at Blackburn Cemetery to follow.
Roberta will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and gentle person with a heart of gold.
