Jo Ann graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1962. While attending OSU, she met Charles L. (Chuck) Trimble, Jr., and they were married on July 6, 1962. Jo Ann and Chuck made their first home as Mr. & Mrs. Trimble in Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jo Ann began work as a salesperson at Montgomery Ward at the newly opened Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City, and in 1963, moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where she began working as a clerk at the Norman Merchants Credit Bureau. She eventually joined her husband in the office supply business.
Charles Lloyd (Trey) Trimble, III, was born in October, 1967, and Erika Elizabeth was born in April, 1970. Chuck and Jo Ann eagerly filled the role of foster parents to nephews, Larry and Will Trimble for two years in the late 1970s. In the Summer of 1986, Chuck and Jo Ann relocated to Sapulpa, OK, and returned to Norman in 2022.
In 1969, Jo Ann began an intense study of the Bible and on July 29, 1972, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She embraced her knowledge and faith by serving as a volunteer Bible teacher for the rest of her life. She was a member of the South (Norman) Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Sapulpa (Oklahoma) Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Chuck, of the home; Son, Trey, and his family, Stacey and Daniel Reddy, of Clearfield, Utah; Daughter, Erika Miller, and her husband, Brent, of Norman, OK; Grandchildren Asher Taylor and his wife, Andrea, of Glenpool, OK, Zane Miller and Mya Miller, of Oklahoma City, OK; Great-grandchildren Kallan and Hallie Taylor; sister-in-law, Barbara Boldt; nieces Stephanie Gray, Lee Ann Hockman, and Lindsey Clayton, and nephews, Stan Dodson, and Larry and Will Trimble.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Bertha Marie Boldt Dodson and her husband, Al, and her brother, Louis Boldt.
An artistic person, Jo Ann found joy in playing piano, countless hours of Bridge and boardgames, serious volleyball, bowling and ping-pong matches, but her greatest joy was her study of the Bible. She was an accomplished Bible teacher and key influence for many who were equally motivated by the truth she loved from the Scriptures. Her family and numerous spiritual brothers and sisters eagerly await her resurrection to eternal life on earth.
Serving as pallbearers are Brent Miller, Trey Trimble, Asher Taylor, Danny Hale, Stan Johnson, Rick Dennis, JD Sellers, Larry Brooks and Danny Clark.
