With great sadness we announce our brother, son, and friend Idongesit Francis Mbong has gone to be with the Lord. Idong loved the rush of life and lived without compromise. At 23 years old he passed away doing something he loved - riding his motorcycle. A graduate of Norman North HS, football player for Concordia and OBU, and budding entrepreneur. Idong leaves behind two brothers, a sister, his parents, and hundreds of friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Idongesit Mbong Memorial Trust at First Bank & Trust Co. of Norman, OK 405-366-1810. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Norman Optimist Club's youth football program, where Idong first played the sport he loved.
A viewing will be held at Primrose Funeral Service on Friday, August 7, 2015, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Lakeside Church of God, with Pastors Kenneth Adams and Brian Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park in Norman.
