Helen Gene (Templeton) Lassiter-Clark, 94, of Norman, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior the evening of June 26, 2021. Helen was born on June 21, 1927 in Kenefic, Oklahoma to Everett and Jessie Templeton. She grew up and attended school at Rattan.
After high school, Helen moved to Oklahoma City where she would stay with her sister and her brother-in-law. While living with them, Helen went to school and worked at Tinker. She then met her soon-to-be husband, Cecil Loyd Lassiter, who was the cousin of her brother-in-law. Together Helen and Cecil had three children: Doug, Dean, and Sharon.
Family was very important to Helen; she devoted her life to caring for her family. She was incredibly sweet, compassionate, and giving. She enjoyed providing for her family, tending to her vegetable garden, and she loved to sew and crochet.
She was in church any time the doors were unlocked, and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school.
Helen in preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers, Cecil Loyd Lassiter, and James W. Clark.
Left to cherish her precious memory is her sister, Marie Ramsey, her children: Doug and his wife Francie Lassiter, Dean and his wife Rendi Lassiter, and Sharon Gates, her seven grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Rambling Oaks Assisted Living, as well as the Norman Regional Hospital staff for taking care of Helen.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service. Helen’s funeral service will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Moore Cemetery.
