Gloria was born in Freedom Station, Ohio, and the daughter of Charles W. and Pearl E. ( Mumma) Burkholder. Gloria leaves behind her son Mark and his wife Monica and their three children Michelle, Tyler and Zachary. Her granddaughter Annemarie Martinez and her great grandsons Jalen and Braden along with four step children, David Loewen, Grace Fischer, Juanita Folmsbee and Janice Loewen, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gloria was predeceased by her first husband Charles E. Richardson of Ravenna, Oh; her second husband Samuel Todd of Atlanta, Georgia and her third husband Kenneth L. Loewen of Norman, Ok.
Gloria graduated from Freedom High School in Freedom Station, Oh. in 1948, and then went on to attend business college in Akron, Oh. Gloria worked in the Norman public schools as a secretary along with Managing the Loewen Rental Properties for over thirty years.
Gloria dedicated her life to serving God after receiving Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a Kathryn kuhlman Revival in Pittsburg Pa. in the early 50’s. She is recognized by the Independent Assemblies as Reverend Gloria J. Loewen and has ministered to hundreds of young women at the Cleveland County jail in Norman for over 15 years. Gloria along with friends Norma Lee and Jay Adams authored a Grapevine Ministry pamphlet.
Friends and family are invited to visit with the family on January 19th from 4pm to 7pm at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, Ok and the Funeral Service will be at 11am on January 20th in the Chapel at Primrose Funeral Service followed by a Graveside ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
