Eugene attended Echo Public Schools and shortly after graduating he joined the US Army to proudly serve his country. After serving his country, Eugene spent most of his working years as a welder and construction worker. Eugene also found great joy in occupying his free time with his grandchildren and woodworking. One of his proudest moments was being in the OU newspaper. He was also a devoted member of New Hope Southern Baptist Church.
Eugene is survived by his seven children, Monte Taylor of OKC, Neil Taylor and wife Jean of OKC, Russ Taylor and wife Jane of Norman, Milo Taylor, Delaine Knight and husband Jim of Norman, Chad Taylor of Norman and Sheila Taylor of Noble; four brothers, James Taylor and wife Artis of Delano, MN, Eldon Taylor and wife Mary , Robert Taylor and wife LuAnn of Vesta, MN and Ivan Taylor and wife Kim of Fairfax, MN; two Sisters, Darlene Olson and husband Donovan of Deer Creek, MN and Diane Hess and husband Wally of Redwood Falls; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
