Elizabeth "Ann" Payne

Before getting married, Ann was a school teacher. She married the love of her life McMillan Payne on June 10, 1951. They eventually had 3 beautiful children and spent their days together raising their family and living a life they loved. They lived 66 amazing years together until her husband McMillan passed away on February 28, 2017.

Ann was very active throughout her life and was a big part in the church community. She was a long time member of Goodrich United Methodist Church in Norman where she also sung in the choir and taught Sunday school. Ann actively enjoyed reading and doing yardwork while making a beautiful home for her family.

Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband, McMillan Payne as well as her parents William Aquila Robison and Bertha Jerlene Griffis, and brothers, Jim and Lee Robison.

Left to cherish Ann’s memory are her daughters, Maylan Dunn-Kenny (husband, Dan), Macalan Taylor (husband, Greg), and Malinda Veldman (husband, Roy), grandchildren, Jacob Dunn (wife, Jamie), Amy Smith-Harris (husband, Shane), Brandon Wood (wife, Krystle), Justin Taylor (wife, Jordan), Tyler Wood, William Payne Sharpley, Alexandra Collins (husband, James), Shelby Veldman, and Peyton Veldman, as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A graveside service will occur Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Oklahoma City, 500 SW 104 st., Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
