Charles Edward Davis

Charles Edward Davis, better known as Chuck, Eddie, Daddy, Pops, Papa, or Papa Davis, passed away on August 17th, 2024 in Norman, Oklahoma. On December 21, 1950, Charles was born in Culver City, California to John Davis and Frances Marie (Crawford) Davis.

On June 3, 1970, Charles joined the Air Force. While in the Air Force, Charles traveled to Guam, Belgium, and in 1986, moved to Oklahoma. On February 28, 1991, Charles retired as a Master Sergeant. After retirement, Charles became a Realtor/Broker. Charles loved his family, friends, animals, Little Caesars, Diet Pepsi, ice, listening to music, watching old movies, and feeding geese by the pond.

Charles will always be remembered as Papa Duck, always smiling, loving his Country, and being a devote Christian.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, John Davis and Frances Marie (Crawford) Davis, and brother John Davis. Those left to cherish Charles’ memory are his daughters; Jeanne Ross and husband Nathan of Newalla, Oklahoma, Kristal Hayes and husband Doug of Cantonment, Florida, and Cindy Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren Tyler, Kale, Izzy, Abby, and Hayden; and a host of extended relatives and friends.

A visitation for Charles will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service.
