Bennie was born in Temple, OK on February 1, 1936. He was an Army Veteran who proudly served his country after the Korean War. After returning home to Temple, OK he met the love of his life, Nelda Cooper, and they were married onJuly 18, 1961.
He retired from Carlsbad Management Group where he worked for Steve Jones; a very close friend whom he considered family.
Bennie was proceeded in death by parents Lon and Pearl Cooper; sisters Mildred Weant and husband Wayne; Bernice Cooper and husband Gene; brothers Rayford Cooper and wife Rita; Harvey Cooper and granddaughter Tiffany Wilsey.
He was survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Nelda; daughters Belinda Wilsey; Sabrena Malone and husband Phil; Angela Wall and husband Troy; son Brian Cooper; grandchildren Kendal Williams and husband Stan; Clayton Wilsey and wife Jacquelyn; Molly Malone, Max Malone, Megan Floyd, Madison Floyd, Kayla Wall; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Williams, Daiya Williams and Max Wilsey.

Arrangements are under the care of Primrose Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday at Sunset Memorial Park and officiated by Pastor Ken Huddleston of Immanuel Baptist Church.
