Vergel Balatazat Gutierrez July 6th 1933 - June 3rd 2024 It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Vergel Balatazat Gutierrez, who left us on June 3rd 2024 at the age of 90. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. His passion for life and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered. He is preceded in death by his first wife Saturnina Gutierrez, beloved mother of all three sons. He is survived by his former wife Marina Gutierrez. He was born in San Pablo City, Philippines and was the last of 7 siblings. He joined the United States Navy in 1954 and proudly served for 25 years working under the Naval Fleet Training Unit. He was a dedicated member and once held the position of President of the Filipino American Veterans of Hampton Roads. He is survived by his three sons Henry Gutierrez and wife Susan, Glenn Gutierrez and wife Nancy, Edward Gutierrez and wife DeLaine, as well as his grandchildren Logan Gutierrez, Leah Gutierrez, and Jason Gutierrez who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
