Robert Allan Hedgepeth

Robert A. Hedgepeth, 69, passed away in Chesapeake, VA on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Robert was born on September 11, 1951 in San Diego, CA to the late Flavia Lagala Hedgepeth and Ernest Lee Hedgepeth. Robert was a devoted husband, son, father, and grandfather. He is cherished in memory by his loving wife, Deborah L. Hedgepeth; children, Zachary E. Hedgepeth of Norfolk, VA, Angela M. Ritter of Norfolk, VA; bonus daughter, Jessica Fearer of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Richard L. Hedgepeth of Boca Raton, FL, sisters, Barbara Columbo and her husband, Pete and Joanne Lynch and her husband, Robert all of Providence, Rhode Island; grandchildren, Liam Ritter, Delaney M Ritter, Kenzie Hedgepeth, and Jordie Hedgepeth; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and his furbabies, Annie his rescued Shih Tzu and Willie his rescued Beagle Bassett. Robert worked for QED Systems, Inc. for nearly 30 years of service. Tough in nature, he was a cancer survivor and here lately had battled COPD. The family sends their heartfelt thanks to the Proton Therapy Institute, Dr. M. Patel, Pulmonary Critical Care and Atwood Family Medicine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Foundation for children or any no-kill animal shelter.
