Mrs. Patricia Annette Perron

Patricia Annette Hamel Perron, Best Mom Ever, 86, of Virginia Beach passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024. Pat was born and raised in Lewiston, ME. She is predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Perron, parents Robert and Blanche Hamel, son David Perron and daughter-in-law Susan Perron.

Pat is survived by her sister, Lorraine Friese, 5 of her 6 children, Audrey Mackie, Michael “Mike” his wife Lori Perron, William “Bill” Perron, Susan and her husband Mike Oshel, and Patricia “Patti” O’Brien. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren Patricia (Alex) Trombino, Mike and Mark Perron, Anna Perron, Angela (Andrew) DeMeritt, William Robert “Robby” (Samantha) Perron, Christina “Tina” (Keith) Rhodes, Derrick, Daniel and Dylan Bacskocky, Sabrina Perron, and Patricia (Raymond) O’Brien. Her grandchildren blessed her with 14 great grandchildren.

Pat gathered many friends who loved her and enjoyed her witty dry sense of humor. She was a Navy wife and stay at home mom, aka the “Baby Lady” at the local Flea Markets where she would sell gently used baby items creatively picked up at garage sales. She had many hobbies such as collecting stamps, Pokémon cards, and coins, jigsaw puzzles, and ballroom dancing. She enjoyed many years meeting up with her sister Lorraine Friese in Las Vegas for sister bonding.

The family would like to thank Penny Wimer with Hearts ‘n Homes Eldercare for taking such great care of Pat a few nights a week to give her children a much needed respite. Also thank you to Sentara Home Health and Hospice for help with our mom’s care.

Memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk on Thursday, February 29, 2024 to celebrate our mother’s life. The viewing will be at 9:00 am, followed by the memorial service at 10:00 am, and ending with the graveside service.
