Nancy Lee Johnson

Nancy Lee Johnson, 86, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2022, a journey that she was ready to embark on. She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Marvin Magnus and Rachel Overton. Nancy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she spent a lot of her free time. She was strong in her faith and happy to do the work needed in her Church to include fund-raisers and teaching Sunday school to the children in her Church Summer program. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and other crafting projects.

Nancy was always kind and loving no matter how she felt; everyone thought she was a Saint as she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. People who just met her for the first time thought her to be adorable, amazing and sweet.

Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, John Norman Johnson, Jr., and a son Robert E. Whebbee; parents, Russell and Rachel Overton.

Left to cherish her memory are Three sons, John N. Johnson, III (Sue); Jeffrey W. Johnson Sr. (Terri); J. Mark Johnson; daughter Nancy R. Garton; two sisters, Murrill O. Perry and Russelline O. Williams; Ten grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jay, Chris, Joey, Kyle, Russell, Ryan, Brittany, Leighton, and Trevor; and nine great grandchildren, Jayson, Joey, Gabriel, Killian, Emmitt, Elliot, Mason, Milo, and Brooklyn.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 o'clock, on Saturday April 16th, at Calvary Baptist Church, 4832 Haygood Rd, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist
