Kirby E. Johnson 89, passed away June 8, 2018. Kirby served his country proudly for 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a PO2 and then went on to retire from G.E. He was a member of Living Waters Church of God and the Fleet Reserve. Kirby is now with his wife Bessie in Heaven.
Kirby is survived by his children; Kirby L. Johnson Sr. (Sandra), Linda Koester (Don) and Garry Johnson(Louise), nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren
Kirby’s wake will be Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 6-8 PM. His funeral will be Thursday at 11 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502, with full military honors rendered at the grave.
