Erik, you truly knew how to bring a smile to those that needed it.  You will forever be remembered by me and my friends as Preston Garvey. We will free those settlements just for you.  I know I’m two years too late but, rest well and leave the rest to us.

I never knew Eric personally but I followed him on social media and I'd comment on his cosplay from time to time. It's terrible that what happened happened. I don't know how it feels to be in this space of emptiness.

I keep trying to think of my happiest moment with Erik.  The hard part is coming up with one because all my time with him is some of my happiest .  He knew how to do that well. Bringing the light in the darkest of times, or the cups half full spirit.  He brought just so much to everyone he met. He helped save my life.  I'm truly honored that I got to crossed paths with Erik. My life definitely changed for the better having him in it.  So thank you Mrs.Harris for raising one of the greats men I ever knew.  This world won't be as bright without having Erik in it. However the sky sure is  shining bright with him up there.  God bless you all.

Eric and I became fast conversation friends and he always gave great advice. He was a great friend to talk to and an amazing spirit. 

Eric was awesome! I didn’t know him very personally but when we met at Blackbeard this year, he complimented my outfit and my sister’s outfit, then I remembered him from previous years. He was really chill and he will be missed!

He was more than a friend he was mentor in how to be so Dope and Real with life, he gave all he had heart soul mind and body to make other people glad they came to the convention, and that cosplay was super rad and even if it was still a work in progress he made sure they know we are all works in this progress call life, “I Know I Look Up To The Sky Your Marking It On My Map!💯😇🔥

Hi, my name is Quin, my most favorite memory I had with Erik was our first interaction towards each other. I was a huge fan of his cosplay for a while before he noticed me on Facebook. Whenever I started my modeling journey, he noticed and started complimenting on the photos I posted, then one day he sent a voice message saying, "Why are you so fine?" My instant reaction was me fangirling over this guy who I was a huge fan of, and lowkey had a little crush on who told me I was fine, but I played it cool. My response was, "idk, natural beauty ig." Ever since then we would have cool conversations on when we should link up at cons, having cosplay ideas, memes, etc. He would sometimes mention how I put a smile on his face, so I did my best to make that as my personal mission, friend to friend, and to also finally meetup. I felt like I owed him that much because even though I told him how much I cared. I wanted him to understand what it meant to me on how much he put a smile on my face everytime I heard his voice messages. To me, I thought it was beautiful, comforting to talk to, protective, but never intimidating. For that much alone, I just want to say, Thank You Erik, you deserve peace.

Eric... My buddy, the man that actually talked me through my own depression, the man that taught me how to heal from my own childhood traumas. When I met him at Blerdcon before the pandemic, I hugged him and thanked him for being a true friend...I will miss you Eric.

I only saw and talked to Erik during the Neko convention. But each year we would hang out and talk like no time has passed. Wish I took the time to talk to him more. He was such a kind and funny man. Any story I tell from the con, he was in it. It won't be the same with out him there. 

Eric will always be the Listener to my Cicero. And he will always be my brother. He has a soul that shines through on the darkest of days, even now. The souls he's touched and the laughs they all share, the cosplays that he has created, and the characters he brought to life, This is his Legacy.

You were one of the best memories in my life. Thank you for being so gentle and caring not only to me, but your family and your friends. Rest well, you will be missed, but never forgotten. I will see you on the other side some day! 

Erik - you were one of the most amazing people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Kindness radiated off of you and your soul, you lifted others constantly. My heart aches knowing that you're gone because so many people will now miss out on the light that you brought with you. 


I remember running across you that year at Katsucon, so excited to see more Fallout cosplayers. You invited me with open arms to the group, we hung by the waterfront and walked around until late in the night. When we weren't able to see one another, we'd keep in touch on facebook. You always called me your sister and you were my brother. 


Life feels a little more lack luster without you, Erik. We've got the settlements now though, Preston. Rest easy. <3 

I did not meet Eric in person but I did enjoy seeing his Preston cosplay and the funny memes that came from it . My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. His spirit still lives on even though he is no longer here. 

I'm from Venezuela, I meet Erik through his cosplays , I was great fan of him of his art and of the person he was. he was a great soul that always brought a smile to my face . Will miss him deeply but I know that he is helping settlements in heaven now. May he rest in peace. 

I knew Erik through cons and Jason Craig. When he was depressed, we'd often talk about deep subjects. He made me think outside the frame with his creativity and always made me feel safe at conventions. He was more attuned with his higher spiritual self than so many others. I will miss him dearly.

There are people in this world who you can just tell are genuine, kind, good souls. You can tell because there aren’t a lot of them in this world.

I only met Eric for a few minutes chatting with him at BlerDCon and just being in his presence let you know he was one of those souls. I was looking forward to hanging out with him at BlerDCon again this year.

I do not cry but I’m crying right now. If that is the impact he had on me in a few minutes I can imagine what those who had the honor of being in his presence for years or a lifetime must feel. You will all be in my prayers today.

One thing about Erik is that he was unapologetically himself always. I admired that so much about him. The world could be against him and he would still stick to his guns. He was a light in every room he walked in, constantly bringing positivity and laughter with him wherever he went. His personality was so infectious that you just couldn’t help being drawn into him. He was an amazing human being and will be missed immensely. 

I never met Erik, but he brought me some incredibly memorable laughs with his cosplay and commitment to the character. He's the kind of fella I know if I met, I'd have a beer with and laugh my ass off.  The kind of guy you want to know because he was out there living his best life and bringing joy to people all over the place with his sense of humour.

For the world to lose a young man like that, we just got a little more dim. But he has inspired many, and will continue to do so even after he is gone because his memory carries on in internet history.


Thank you for the laughs, Erik. And thank you to his momma for gifting us a wonderfully talented lad. My heart goes out to his family, and while nothing can ease the pain of losing your baby, nor fill the hole it leaves in your heart, I hope in time you will be able to look back on his time in this world and let the joy and positivity he spread to us all bring a smile to your face instead of tears in your eyes.


The depth of your sorrow is a testament to the scale of your love and what has been lost far too soon. No mamma should ever have to bury her baby. May he rest well knowing that though his time here was far too short, his impact will last a long time. And may his momma find healing and peace, in her own time.

Be kind to yourself and mourn in the way you must. Don't let anyone tell you what that should look like. We cannot ever truly know your pain, but know that the world mourns his loss with you and you are not alone.

When I met Erik in person, he offered me an opportunity to be a part of his dream. He and a few other friends began cosplaying as original characters from the Elder Scrolls game franchise known as Redguards. Erik knew that the Redguards don't get much attention, and he had his theories why so, he wanted to create a team to bring attention to them. This fictional race of people share the power and majesty that he brought to real life and he offered me a place, a complete stranger, to help bring his dream to reality as well. 

In 2019 at Blerdcon, we revealed our Redguards to the world and I learned so much from him about what it means to live in the moment. I will always remember our heart-to-hearts, his boisterous laughter, and above all else his desire to be better. My heart aches for his family and friends that had the opportunity to experience him. May his flame burn bright in our hearts and his legacy outlast the sands of time in our memories. You will be missed, my friend. 

We lost such an amazing friend and member of our community. Rest easy. We love you.

Ah... I learned first of his passing, then of his cosplays. It's like finding a new favorite band, only to learn that the vocalist passed away.

What a wonderful guy he was... My love to the family.

I'm just a guy from Brazil that has seem his awesome work. Yes, he reached that far, and certainly further. I wish his family a warming hug, I think that will do more than words. He will neve be forgotten.

I've never met Erik, but his humorous cosplay of Preston Garvey never failed to brighten my day. 

The world is a little dimmer without him.

I didn't really knew Erik in a personal level, and i only had a few interactions with him online. But he always gave the impression of being a very humble guy and passionate about his work. I wish i had at least a conversation with him.

Though I didn’t know Erik personally I have seen his work pop out from time to time. And every time I saw something from him it was very good and put a smile on my face. If there was something Erik was a master at , then it was making people smile whether through Cosplay or jokes. He will be dearly missed by many.

Though I only knew Eric "CunningWulf" Harris from an online reddit community, he still left a positive impact on me and our whole community with his cheerfulness and wholesomeness. Our whole community will miss his presence. Much love, rest in peace.

I did not know Erik, but nevertheless know of his work and his passion, and was touched by it, fleeting as it was. He left quite the impression. Rest well.

Like others who have added their thoughts here my only interaction with Erik "CunningWulf" Harris were through his reddit posts full of Elder Scrolls and Fallout cosplays.

Even to strangers on the internet he was a great person. The kind of guy you couldn't hate if you tried.

I can't share in the pain of those who knew him personally but I can say with certainty he will be missed by all, online and offline.

Eric was a great human being. It's genuinely sad that he passed. He was one of the few people online who are genuinely kind, creative, and intelligent. His cosplays were amazing and he deserved the best. I hope he rests well.

Erik was well known in a portion of the Elder Scrolls community, his cosplays were unmatched, and his contributions to the community brought a smile to many faces. When he contributed to discussion, he was nothing but friendly, kind, and respectful. I will keep him, and his friends and family in my thoughts.

I have not been a part of the community that sent me when he was still active in it, but I've heard nothing but great things about him.
May he rest in peace.
