Deborah Ann Gordon (Wynn) age 62, passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2023. She was born on August 24th 1960 in San Bernardino, California to her late parents, Keith LaRue and Barbara Elizabeth Wynn. She was the youngest of four children, one preceded in death, her brother, Pat. She also had two angel grandbabies, Emmanuel and Angelique, that preceded in death.
She is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Andrew William Gordon, her children, Veronica Lynch and Joey Taormina, her son-in-law, Jonathan Lynch, her two beautiful grandchildren, Mason and Elizabeth Lynch, her two sisters, Karen and Donna, and their spouses, and many other family and friends.
Deborah graduated from Princess Anne High school. She lived majority of her life here in Virginia Beach. She was a dedicated bus driver for the Virginia Beach City Public Schools for over 20 years. She loved her job, the kids, and parents loved my mom. Still to this day she still receives gifts from parents that my mom stopped picking up for years ago. She loved her grandchildren to pieces and spoiled them rotten even to her last days. My mom was loved by all that met her and she had many friends.
My mom did not want a service, so we are going by her wishes. We are planning a celebration of life in the next few weeks. Mother's Day seems to fit the day that we will celebrate her life because she was the absolute BEST mom anymore could ask for. The time is still being determined. We will let everyone know what time it would take place. The beach was my mom's favorite place so we will have it down there and then we can meet at 615 bar and grill to have a drink/eat to honor our mother, Andy's wife, and everyone's friend.
In her honor please donate to any of the breast cancer organizations. I am walking in her honor at this years Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 14th at 11am on 17th street near Dairy Queen which was Deborah's favorite place to sit, eat ice cream, and people watch with her husband, Andy. They have benches to sit on but if you want to bring your own chair please do. Friends and family can sit and talk about the memories they made with an amazing mother, Andy's wife, nana to her grandchildren, and friend to each and every one that knew her.
If it is expected to rain that day, the family will meet the day before on Saturday, May 13th at the same time. Afterwards, the family will be going to 615 Bar and Grill on General Booth Blvd; so if anyone wants to meet them there, can do so and have some drinks/eat with them. Deborah used to come to this place to hang out with her husband, her sister, and brother-in-law.
