Carolyn entered the world on March 7, 1957 in Meridian, MS to James & Gladys Horn. She was a 1975 graduate of Meridian High School. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Willie Toole, in 1976.
Carolyn believed in working but she would always say, “Work Smarter not Harder.” Her personality and work ethic allowed her to be a top Home Interior Representative for over 30 years and this is where she met many of her dearest friends. She was a Manager of Sales at Barr Brother Jewelry & a Customer Representative for QVC for over 17 years, each.
Her infectious and caring personality allowed her to befriend people from all walks of life. She said what she meant, and meant what she said but it always came from a place of LOVE. Whenever she frequented her favorite nail shop or restaurant, she always received top notch service from her favorite nail tech and waitress who she loved. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved spending time with them especially during Christmas which was her absolute favorite time of year. Everyone from her husband, children, daughter in-laws, grandchildren, family and friends were showered with love & gifts during the holidays. She would deliver special holiday baskets to businesses she would frequent just as a token of love and appreciation. She felt, for some, holidays were the toughest time of the year and everyone deserves to feel special and thought of. In her seemingly small gestures of empathy, kindness and consideration, she laid the stepping stones for others to follow. One of the greatest ways to honor the life and legacy of Carolyn, is for us to extend her pathway keeping her ideals of goodness in it's purest form, in our own daily lives.
She is predeceased by her mother Gladys Horn; brothers James & Clyde Hurn; grandson Davon Toole; grandparents Ella McCoy & James Horn Sr.; who she loved dearly.
She was loved by many and leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband and best friend of 44 years, Willie Toole; three sons Frederick Toole (Bridget), Rodreko Toole, Brian Toole (Alicia); father, James Horn; brother, Anthony Hurn; Grandchildren Aset Bennett-Ricks, Anesa Bennett-Ricks, Brian Toole Jr., Brianna Toole and Great Granddaughter Amara Knight. She leaves a host of close friends and family that will miss her beyond measure.
