Warren J. “Pops” Louque passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Fay Walker Louque, his parents, Logan G. and Ina Roper Louque, and siblings, Glenda Vicknair and Logan J. Louque. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Louque and Hollie Ericksen (Kevin), his grandchildren, Ashley Morris (Matthew) and Matthew Ericksen (Meghan), great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Cooper Ericksen and Owen and Hayes Morris, and brother, Richard Louque.
He retired from Crescent City Nissan in 2002 after serving many years as an auto mechanic and service manager for various auto dealerships. He was a proud and active Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Red Church Council 3634 and served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Borromeo Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching westerns, baking, dancing, and was an ardent fan of his beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints.
The family would like to offer heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers, Peggy Guedry and Rowena Benoit, as well the wonderful staff of Notre Dame Hospice.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Destrehan. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a Mass to begin at 12PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, masses preferred or donations to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA 70047 or East Jefferson Hospital Foundation, 4200 Houma Blvd. Metairie, LA 70006 can be made in his memory.
