Diane Broussard Schexnaydre

Diane Broussard Schexnaydre was born February 5, 1947 and died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 77. She was a native of Norco, Louisiana and raised her family in Destrehan, Louisiana. Diane shared 59 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted and loving husband Thomas Schexnaydre. She will be deeply missed by her four children: Mark Schexnaydre (Melissa), Brian Schexnaydre, Catherine Montz (Kenny) and Kevin Schexnaydre (Cathy). She will forever be cherished by her 13 grandchildren: Emily Cimino, Megan Casey, Avery Schexnaydre, Ryan Beslin, Haley, Seth, Jared, Kaylynn and Mary Catherine Montz, Gabrielle Cockrell, Chantelle Haik, Chad Prestenbach, and Casie Derrick. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings Ronald, Patrick, Charles, and Patricia Broussard, Mary Diehl, and Doris Vasconcellos. She was preceded in death by her parents Avery Broussard and Doris Broussard Klein, and her siblings Robert and Cynthia Broussard. The family wishes to thank the employees of ACG Hospice and her caregiver, Ramona Cooper, for her compassionate and loving care throughout the last five years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2552 Kentucky Ave., Kenner, Louisiana on December 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery, Destrehan, LA.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider having masses offered for her or making a donation in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
