William Bosgraaf

Passed peacefully on to his eternal home surrounded by his wife and children Sunday December 15th at Shalom Manor at the age of 89. Loving husband to Elizabeth for 67 years. Dear father of Richard (Wilma), Debbie (Andy) and Michelle (Mark}. Loving Opa to Brandon (Lindsay), Brianna (Mark), Celeste (Nicholas), Connor, Cody (Hannah) and Justin. Great-grandfather to Tilman. Brother to Hank (Coby). Predeceased by grandson Spencer Mark and sister Jane (Jerry). William immigrated from Holland in 1954 with his parents and siblings. They settled in Ontario where he found work. Two years later he returned to Holland to bring back his fiancé Elizabeth and they were married shortly after.

William had numerous jobs but his longest place of work was General Motors from which he retired from after thirty years as a lead hand in 1995. William and Elizabeth purchased their first home in 1969, which was newly built in Niagara Falls. He loved his home and continued to live there until he moved to Shalom Manor in 2022 to join his wife who had moved there two years prior. The staff loved Williams’ gentle spirit and mischievous ways, often playing chicken with his walker. They took wonderful care of him while he was there. William was a proud member and past president of Niagara Falls Lions club receiving many awards over the years. He was also an active member in his church community. He loved spending time with his grandkids and kept an immaculate property. In their later years William and Elizabeth could always be found enjoying their daily coffee and muffin at McDonalds.

A private interment has taken place. Family & friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at Faith Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 4878 Jepson St. Niagara Falls on Thursday December 19, 2024 at 1:00pm
