Aunt Rose will always be remembered for her warmth and kindness.  I think of her often.  

Aunt Rose was a beautiful and wonderful person.  When we were children and came for visits with my Mom and Dad, Aunt Rose and Uncle Bill would happily welcome us all, the whole family did and remember there was a lot of fun and happy times.

To all Aunt Rose's Family and Friends sending peaceful thoughts  and may your memories bring you through this difficult time.



Aunt Rose was a warm person and a kind soul.   I remember our childhood visits.  Even after growing up when work brought me to Niagara Falls I would usually stop by to say a hello and share a cup of tea.  I was always made to feel welcome.

Barbara, Jason ,Billie,Shirly ,Janelle... ahhh you Krissy-Lynne or you...LOL was my Nanny but you knew that she spread her love so far that you knew just by her way she treated me and everything and everyone around her.
 How very much we were all loved !!! Each and every single moment of her life. I could not have dreamed of having a better Nanny there would be no comparison.. I know that whatever I would be told is what it was as she was always fair and understanding she would listen but would not be swayed by your actions. I have no doubt about it because she made me and everything she loved feel it in our hearts. My beautiful Nanny I know you have been working through each day with a part of your heart in heaven and now part here and one day we will all bring you together again with your family and your heart whole in one place until then I know that you are ok because you would have it no other way! I will remember each and every flakie crumb you would clean off my face after school and every time Poppa would say with such love!! OH WHEATIE! I dream about how much love you both taught me that exsists when you truly have everything you need. And I don’t regret not one single moment I have learned about life and how true love exsists in your heart. I will always have you with me and my family will be greatly blessed with you and your lessons of love I will carry on your life with me by being the best mom I can because I have learned from the things that you have done with me for my children and my mom I love you so very much and I will see you soon. Until then my beautiful Nanny kick Jeff’s butt at Euchre for me and keep eye on him he likes to nap sometimes while playing but it is all a ruse LOL of the best kind though he is just trying to get you to think. Give hugs to my Poppa and my family you are surrounded by and until I come home you will be with me each and every single moment I live with LOVE! Loving Sister to Ethel and loving Aunt to Joyce, Mark, Lynne and Jeanette. Lots of Lovely times and memories spent with you in England and Canada. Many hours walking around the shops with you how you loved walking around the shops. Hearing your voice on the many phone calls was always lovely and will stay in our hearts forever. You're now reunited with your Bill you was his Wheatie. Lots of love to all your family we wish we could be with you all in this sad time. Love from your family in Nottingham xxxxx

Aunt Rose was the sweetest person that I ever knew.  She was always welcoming and so very, very kind.  I will miss her dearly.   

To her family I wish to extend my heartfelt and sincere condolences and much love.  Take comfort in all the wonderful memories that you shared throughout the years.

So sorry for the loss of a great lady. I was her neighbor for many years and will always remember her kindness and visiting her beautiful gardens as a child. 



As we travelled through the final chapter of her life,, I was honoured to be by her side.  She never lost her sense of humour, her kindness and compassion.  She made friends with everyone of her psws, nurses, and caregivers.  We laughed a lot, read poetry and the Bible,.  watched hours of Coronation Street, and listened to the memories of her life.  The things she saw and experienced as she lived thro the war, rationing, loss of friends and family, travelling to Canada and marrying her navy man. The difficulties, the challenges, the joy of her children and grandchildren.  Her favourite Bible verse was "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord...".  I am honoured to be a member of her family.  Rest in peace Momma, we will take care of each other. 

You have left us with lots of memories such a wonderful person an inspiration to us just like your mother Mabel Wheat who im sure you got your values from you certainly inspired me you will be greatly missed now you can rest in peace with your husband Bill who was my father's brother who was also a nice person to know we will miss you greatly love to all the family Rob  and Jean 

I was so saddened to hear of Roses passing.  She was so wonderful to myself when I lived in the apartment upstairs in her and Bills house on Huron Street.  She would keep an eye on my daughter who was a few months old while I did laundry at her place.  We would enjoy a cup of tea while I waited  for my clothes to dry. I will miss her dearly.  My condolences to my good friend Barb and also to her brothers and sisters.  Barb and I have known each other since we were kids and her parents were always welcoming.  God speed Rose.

Nanny’s 90 th birthday very surprised by her special cake made specially for her by Amy my niece . So many wonderful memories very hard to just pick one . Forever in my heart mom  love you Barb and Bob 

I'm so sorry for your loss. I only married into this family 11 years ago but I have memories of Nanny when she would come down to Windsor. She told the best stories and had the best laugh. She will be greatly missed by so many.
