Helen (Dobkin) Singer

Helen (nee Dobkin) in her 91st year is reunited with her soulmate, the late Wolfgang Singer (2011). Proud and devoted mother to her girls: Ruth (Brian), Karen (Warren) and Christine (Gordie). Nana leaves her cherished grandchildren: Victoria (Aries), Graeme (Michelle), Bennett, Ian, and Eric; who will miss her unconditional love and guidance.

Helen was truly beloved by all who knew her. From her long career at CIBC to her numerous volunteer endeavours, she built lasting friendships and attacked all she did with an immeasurable strength and vitality. Helen was a lifelong traveler and photographer, enjoyed music and theatre, loved to putter in her flower gardens, and kept herself fit later in life with golf, tai chi and daily walks. She drove for Meals on Wheels well into her 80’s and volunteered at the Coronation Centre for years. She touched everyone with a special love and kindness. Her greatest achievement, she always said, was her family.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held at the DELPHI BANQUET HALL (4414 Portage Rd. Niagara Falls, Ontario) on January 4th 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations to The Liver Foundation and The ALS Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by Helen and the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the family.
