Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in his 93rd year. Loving husband of the late Winnifred Gomes (1997). Much loved father of Robert (Debbie), his late son Kevin, and Dennis (Nadeen). Grandfather to Carrie-Anne (Shaun), Melissa (Rick), Jesse (Sarah), Cory, Nathan , & Chelsea. Missed by his 3 great grandchildren. Remembered by his nephew Ryan Gomes. Francis was a veteran of WWII, an avid bowler, and a longtime employee of Ohio Brass, retiring in 1983.
Family & friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 7820 Portage Road, Niagara Falls on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 3 o’clock. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
