David "Dave" Arnold Weaver

It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Dave following a brief illness on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband and best friend to Cheryl (nee Overfield) for 45 years. Loving Dad of Mike (Kristy “Kris”) Weaver and Mark Weaver (Taylor Brown). Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Ethan, Kylie, and Dylan. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his large extended family as well as his many friends.

Dave was an outdoors man through and through. He found the most comfort being in and amongst nature with fishing bringing him immense joy. He was loved by all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved playing jokes on people. Anyone who met Dave knew and remembered him for life. He left lasting impressions wherever he went. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to step up to help anyone he could. He cherished his family and loved nothing more than fishing with his boys and spending any time he could with his grandchildren. They were his true pride and legacy.

In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation where his family will receive guests will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. from 2 – 4 p.m. If desired, memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
